Umia Finance: The MetaDAO of EVM (no chart)

Growth lead @nftboi_ breaks down the token-only venture primitive, the Uniswap CCA auction that clears August 29, and the decision markets that govern the treasury.

Rick and Daes opened an urgent morning stream with @nftboi_, who joined Umia Finance four months ago to lead growth after a decade in crypto — crypto funds in the 16-17 cycle, a crypto club he founded at a major North American university in 2017, private-equity software investing, and three years full-time crypto. His thesis: the most interesting deal flow (Polymarket, Kalshi, FOMO app) stays private until massive scale, while on-chain launches are built for team funding rather than holder alignment. Umia's answer is a token-only primitive — no equity structures, fully on chain, where the team only wins when investors win — inspired by MetaDAO's decision markets on Solana and rebuilt EVM-native, with a Uniswap CCA auction for its main token opening tomorrow.

The Token-Only Primitive, Founder-Friendly by Design (no chart)

Umia describes itself as an on-chain venture protocol, not a launchpad. The core pitch: everyone holds the same asset — investors, team, auction participants — with day-one liquidity and team incentive locks so the team only wins when holders do. Being founder-friendly is the scaling strategy: deploy natively on any EVM chain where Uniswap v4 hooks exist, with workarounds where they don't (HyperEVM was named), so the treasury and decision markets live on the same chain as the launch. Rick framed it as 'the MetaDAO of EVM' — the audio also renders 'metadata'; both hosts have MetaDAO roots, having tried and failed to get into the ZKsync and Celestia seed deals through a 2020 DAO.

The Raise: Uniswap CCA + the Early-Bid Window (no chart)

The auction uses Uniswap's continuous clearing auction (CCA) — the same mechanism Fold used a few days ago; 'Oktra, Cap' and others were cited as prior users (as-transcribed). Today's early-bid component (Aug 26-29) is a staging pool: no tokens sold, no blocks clearing, but bids clear into the first block of the public auction on Aug 29, guaranteeing the lowest average price. Early-bid access is via the Umia ZK-TLS extension — proofs for having traded MetaDAO decision markets or attended MetaDAO's San Francisco conference, plus echo-deal participants and ETHGlobal hackathon builders, capped at $5,000 per proof wallet — plus directly whitelisted funds and angels. Two new CCA parameters: a $2M minimum raise (below it, everyone is refunded and nothing launches) and a $0.36 maximum price, roughly an $18M FDV (about $6M to reach if demand front-loads). Bids are limit or market; hit the max price and the auction still plays out remaining blocks, then auto-seeds a Uniswap v4 pool on Sept 2. The raise runs on Base — USDC on Base required.

Tokenomics: 35% at Auction, ~50% Float Day One (no chart)

Roughly 35% of supply sells via the auction with about 50% float from day one. 20% of proceeds go into a Uniswap pool with a matching amount of supply; another 20% is existing investors, cliffed for a year and locked for three. The team's supply is mostly incentive-based — roughly 80% only ever floats if the token hits a specific set of multiples off the final auction price; if that never happens, the team never gets it. Umia capped the max price at $18M FDV deliberately, preferring a higher float and lower starting market cap over maximizing the raise.

Decision Markets Run the Treasury (no chart)

Before launch a team outlines a monthly budget — Umia's is $120,000, auto-sent on-chain to a designated receiver wallet each month. Any increase requires a decision market: a conditional AMM seeded from spot-market liquidity trades options (any number, but always a 'do nothing'), letting holders price whether a proposal helps or hurts the underlying asset — e.g. a 30% supply dilution sold at a discount to a known scammer versus to Paradigm. The controls are baked on-chain with a legal structure binding management off-chain, so protocol-level moves literally cannot happen without market approval. The hosts noted the 77bit saga (as-transcribed) as the old world: six-figure salaries exposed on-chain, where a decision market would have settled it with a simple vote.

Earthcoin: Farmer Brown's SpaceX-Paired Stock Play

chart

After the interview the hosts featured Farmer Brown, who CTO'd Earthcoin — paired with SpaceX stock on Robinhood (eligible countries only, per the hosts' disclaimer) and live on PONS. 50% of supply is burned, so the real market cap is more like $450K, or less given Farmer Brown controls ~70%; later revised to 'more around 300K circulating.' At recording there were 23 holders on GG on the road to 100: when Earthcoin hits 100 GG holders, the top 100 holders get an Earthcoin airdrop — holding on GG doubles your stack — and Farmer Brown enabled LP fee sharing with holders. Rick called his earlier Farmer Brown call 'one of the best calls on the feed,' entered between an $8K and $200K market cap, with 'just $50 to $60K' cited as the run so far (as spoken).

Hood Blocks: Bitcoin-Mining NFTs With Tokenized MSTR Rewards (no chart)

Hood Blocks (as-transcribed) is linked to the Bitcoin Ordinals team, per the hosts: a collection of 888 NFTs where each NFT gives exposure to Bitcoin mining, with rewards paid out in ETH and tokenized MicroStrategy. Rick called the devs legit, noted the market cap is quite low, and said he was scooping up a tiny bit. The hosts also flagged a possible link to 'banker' (as-transcribed, unverified).

FREECODE: Tokenizing Your GitHub Repo (no chart)

FREECODE (as-transcribed 'free code') is building an identity and reputation protocol for developers: build reputation on GitHub, then tokenize and sell your repo — 'if I built Aon and want to tokenize the GitHub repo of Aon directly, I can do that through FREECODE.' The developer recently announced the identity protocol and is getting ready to launch soon. Daes's alpha read: he was added to a group of 'back workers' — small, serious accounts forming community around the token — which he said is what makes him bullish. Follow console88 (as-transcribed) on TT, named the most vocal FREECODE backer.

Stockmon, CASHCAP & the Meme Review (no chart)

Stockmon NFTs accrue tokenized stock rewards from the fees they generate; 'Linux' (as-transcribed), the builder, has a full team and is still pushing at a very low market cap — the hosts plan to bring him on. CASHCAP (as-transcribed 'cash cap'): XS has been bullish since an $8M market cap, and 'maybe Base is going to run it' (as spoken) — 'if you're an XS believer, this could be something.' Also noted: an early Pudgy Penguins artist/animator launched a Solana meme coin with a goofy character, called super early — ticker unverified (as-transcribed).

The First RWA Launchpad on ETH Mainnet

chart

During a screen share the hosts flagged what they called the first RWA launchpad on ETH mainnet — bringing stock tokens and tokenized meme coins to mainnet — while cautioning that more DD is needed on who runs it and where the RWAs come from; 'I think it could be Ondo or something like that' was floated as unverified speculation, and Theo already follows it. The on-screen share (verified from the broadcast frame) reveals the project: Stonky (stonky.xyz) — 'the Ethereum launchpad for RWAs, powered by Uniswap v4,' launching tokens backed by equities, gold, Treasuries, ETH, BTC and more, with $STONKY trading around a $344K live market cap on GG at the time.

GG Product Updates: Swap, Quests, and Diamond Chat (no chart)

The team shipped a new and improved swap on web and mobile — native balances, quote to transaction in one to two seconds — plus warnings for honeypot or suspicious token behavior and new-user quests with a walkthrough tutorial. Completing them earns GG points, which short-term gate access to Diamond Chat — where early alpha is shared — via the top-50 points leaderboard, refreshed with new members every Monday. iOS and Android apps are coming, and Diamond Chat gets early access to everything. The hosts closed on the alpha philosophy: the best calls come from small accounts, no one is paid, and the winning social trading app will be the one with the best alpha.
